Ministry of Commerce: General Export Licenses for Some Rare Earth Products Approved

According to Zhaocicai, on December 18, 2025, at the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce this afternoon, spokesperson He Yadong responded to the latest developments regarding export controls on rare earth-related items. He Yadong stated that since the implementation of export controls on rare earth-related items, Chinese authorities have provided policy guidance to Chinese exporters. With the accumulation of relevant export and compliance experience, some Chinese exporters have initially met the basic requirements for applying for general licenses. To my knowledge, some general license applications submitted by Chinese exporters have already been received and approved.
