Ferrite magnets, also known as ceramic magnets, are permanent magnets composed primarily of iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) combined with barium carbonate (BaCO₃) or strontium carbonate (SrCO₃).

Rubber magnets, also known as flexible magnets or magnetic rubber, are composite materials made by blending ferrite magnetic powder (e.g., SrO·6Fe₂O₃) with synthetic rubber or plastic binders (e.g., chlorinated polyethylene, CPE) through extrusion, calendering, or injection molding.
