Alnico Magnets

Alnico magnets are permanent magnets composed of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, and other elements. They offer exceptional thermal stability, maintaining reliable magnetic performance at temperatures up to 550°C, along with good corrosion resistance that often eliminates the need for surface coatings. Available in isotropic (uniform magnetization) and anisotropic (directional magnetization, higher strength) types, common grades include Alnico 2/3 (for sensors and instruments), Alnico 5 (for motors and generators), and Alnico 8/9 (for extreme high-temperature environments). Alnico magnets are widely used in aerospace, automotive sensors, industrial motors, medical equipment, and guitar pickups — any application requiring stable magnetic performance under high heat. They are a trusted permanent magnet solution for high-temperature operating conditions.
