Core Guidelines for Industrial Magnet Selection

Selecting industrial magnets should not merely focus on high magnetic force or large size. It requires comprehensive consideration of application scenarios, operating temperature, working environment and cost to ensure stable equipment operation. Common industrial magnet materials include NdFeB, ferrite, AlNiCo and SmCo, each designed for different industrial applications. For normal-temperature equipment and consumer electronics, N-series sintered NdFeB is the ideal choice with strong magnetism and cost-effectiveness. For high-temperature working conditions, high-temperature resistant grades such as H, SH and UH NdFeB are recommended, while SmCo magnets are preferred for ultra-high-temperature environments. In humid, outdoor or corrosive conditions, suitable surface coatings are essential: nickel plating provides basic rust resistance, and epoxy coating offers superior protection for harsh environments. Proper magnet selection effectively prevents magnetic attenuation and demagnetization, controls costs, and extends equipment service life.
